Homan’s Sign:
The Homans sign test is a physical examination technique taught in many healthcare profession curriculums, typically as a component of lower extremity vascular assessment. A positive Homans sign causes pain in the calf of the leg upon dorsiflexion of the foot with the leg extended that is diagnostic of thrombosis in the deep veins of the area.
